Alexandra Maria Lara has been an Romanian/German film and television actress for over a decade. Alexandra is famous for her the roles she played on Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Alexandra was the sole daughter of Romanian actor Valentin Platareu. at the age of 16she already been offered a variety of television roles which included the leading role in the Downfall film Youth Without Youth Control. The role she played as Adolf Hitler's Secretary Traudl Jue, from Downfall (an Oscar-nominated historical war film), was critically and commercially acclaimed. The Reader as well as Der Baader Meinhof Komplex were both nominated for Oscars. Alexandra's work has led her to participate in several important national and international projects. Some of these include the British biographical films, the British Control Greek Drama film The Dust of Time French Historical Miniseries Napoleon and many more. She has also been an adjudicator at the Transylvania International Film Festival as well as at the Cannes Film Festival.
